Tool joints
Tool joints of our company are turned, bored and faced prior to heat treatment by the quench and temper process to make a uniform microstructure, high ductility, and other mechanical properties in accordance with API specifications. The heat treatment is done under controlled atmosphere for consistent quality. The tensile and impact properties are verified by destructive testing, to make sure that the drill pipe sub meet the API requirements. The drill pipe sub shall undergo the fluorescent magnetic-particle detection and ultrasonic flaw detection, both transverse and longitudinal, to ensure the absence of defects.
All the threads are precisely machined by CNC lathes. All connections are 100% inspected for thread parameters and phosphatized or copper plating for anti-galling & corrosion resisting.
